Range-Ambiguous Clutter Suppression via FDA MIMO Planar Array Radar with Compressed Sensing

Range-ambiguous clutter is an inevitable issue for airborne forward-looking array radars, especially with the high pulse repetition frequency (PRF). In this paper, a method to suppress range-ambiguous proposed in FDA-MIMO radar planar array. Compressed sensing FDA technology used and non-uniformity short-range of radar. Specifically, first, range ambiguous different regions separated by characteristics elevation dimension coupling. Meanwhile, regarding main lobe moving between coherent pulses, correction (MLC) algorithm proposes solution issue, where cannot coherently accumulate signals case non-full angle illumination. Finally, compressed filtering are utilized at receiver, approach alleviating dependence observation region. A small number snapshots can obtain approximately ideal covariance matrix through sparse recovery. The not only reduces training samples, but also overcomes problem Therefore, suppression problems faced structure solved. At analysis stage, comparison among conventional MIMO methods carried on analyzing improvement factor (IF) curves. Numerical results verify effectiveness suppression.
